Triangle United joined MLS NEXT in the 2022-2023 season and are excited about year 5. MLS NEXT is the club's (and USA) top boys program.

In the expanded tier of MLS NEXT, clubs will participate in one of eight regional tournaments each season in addition to the option for eligible age groups to attend MLS NEXT Fest in December. The regional tournaments will serve as qualifying for a championship event at MLS NEXT Cup later in 2027. These events will be marquee talent identification opportunities for college, professional, and national team scouts to evaluate players. Players competing in the new tier will also be eligible to play high school soccer.

The DPL's mission is to develop the player and empower the person in a purposeful and memorable environment. The DPL believes through superior experiences, players will be able to showcase their talent, discover collegiate opportunities, and create community around the game.

Triangle United re-joined the DPL after a year hiatus and will now be going into our 5th year.

"Every individual in North Carolina who wants to play soccer can do so with a North Carolina Youth Soccer Association Member Club in a safe, enjoyable, and respectful environment that leads to a lifelong love and participation in the sport.

We offer play for every level: Recreation, Challenge, Classic, NC Youth Academy, ODP, and USYS Piedmont Division".

Triangle United joined NCYSA in Fall of 2005

"NC Youth Academy is an “alternative” to frustrations felt by families with “win-at-all-costs” mentality during early developmental years.  The program seeks to improve individual player development and increase player participation, satisfaction, and player retention," NCYSA.

Triangle United joined the NCYSA Youth Academy program in Fall of 2010.
