Team Programs

Recreational Soccer is a great place for a player to start playing soccer, no matter the age.  The program is open for boys and girls, ages 4-15 years of age.  We have programs based in Chapel Hill, Chatham, and Durham.  

Select Soccer is a step up from our Recreational programs.  Triangle United offers Select soccer for boys and girls in the 11U-14U age groups.  

Select soccer is a place for players that want more than what recreation offers, but are not quite ready for the time, commitment, and level of classic soccer.

YDA is the club's first introduction to competitive soccer.  The program is for players who have demonstrated the ability and desire to compete at a higher level of soccer. Open to 7U-10U boys and girls. The environment that is created will also foster player growth in areas of balance, coordination, teamwork and sportsmanship.

Classic Soccer is where players join after they leave our Academy and want to continue on the most competitive pathway.  Within this program, there are varying levels of play per age group.  This program is open to boys and girls, 11U-19U.

Triangle United and Tobacco Road FC created a partnership in 2022 to give players an opportunity to play in the USL Academy.  For 2025, this program is open to boys 17U-19U .

The Girls Academy is the HIGHEST level program for our 13U-19U girls. Players train 4x/week and compete regionally and nationally.  The GA is the leading youth development platform for the best female soccer players in the United States. 

The MLS NEXT Tier 2 program is new for 2025/26. This is the springboard to our MLS NEXT, the Premier Boys League in the US. MLS NEXT Tier 2  is open to boys 13U-19U.  

MLS NEXT is the HIGHEST level program for our 13U-19U boys.  Players train 4x a week and compete regionally and nationally.  MLS NEXT provides the best player development experience in North America.
