Select soccer is the level between Recreation and Classic soccer. Triangle United offers Select soccer for players currently in the 11U-14U age groups.
Select soccer is a place for players that want more than what recreation offers, but are not quite ready for the time, commitment, and level of classic soccer.
Select soccer has 2 seasons each year:
Fall season: (mid)August-(mid)November
Spring season: (mid)February-(mid)May
Select teams train twice/week with games on Saturday or Sunday. Teams will also play in local tournaments and also may participate in events which will require an out of town stay.

Yes, each spring in May, players will need to tryout for the following year. We look to create teams based on geographic regions (if possible); Chapel Hill, Chatham, and Durham.
Teams will play games in the Triangle area. Typically teams will have 5-6 games at home with 2-3 on the road. Away locations could be Burlington, Sanford, Holly Springs, or other locations around the Triangle area.
Yes, typically Select teams will travel to 1-2 events per season:
August: TU Fall Classic + one other typically in November + 1-2 in the February - May time frame.
Select coaches are volunteer coaches for the club. These are either parents or coaches willing to donate their time to the team.
Team fees are paid to the team. These fees generally pay for referees, tournaments, coach expenses, etc...Club fees are fees you pay to the club for field rental, insurance, league fees, office, etc..
This depends from year to year, but typically at the 11U and 12U age groups, there are 2 or more teams/age group. We do try and create teams geographically if we can in Chatham, Chapel Hill, and Durham. At 13U and older, typically there is 1, maybe 2 teams/age group.
