University of North Carolina junior defender Caitlin Ball of Chapel Hill, N.C., has been named to the 2013 Capital One Academic All-America® Division I women's soccer team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Caitlin was a member of Triangle United for many years with the '91 and '92 Triangle United Gold teams.
Ball is the 17th Tar Heel to be named to the Capital One Academic All-America Teams since 2005 and the 24th Tar Heel women's soccer player so honored dating back to 1983.
Triangle United at Woodcroft registration for the spring 2014 season is now underway. This program provides a fun place to play soccer each season for hundreds of kids ages 3 to 12. One weekday practice session and one weekend game is the normal weekly schedule, depending on the program you choose. There are also some weekends each season where teams are scheduled to play two games, one Saturday and another on Sunday.

'95 (u18) Gold Boys Enter USYS National League Play
The National League features the top 160 teams in the Under-14 through Under-18 Boys and Girls age groups. With 16 teams divided into two divisions per age group, each team has had to earn their place in the league through their success in US Youth Soccer Regional Leagues and National Championship Series play. Teams automatically qualify for the National League by finishing in the top two of their division the previous year, winning their respective Regional League or by winning their respective Regional Championship.
Top Drawer Soccer, one of the Country’s websites that follows youth soccer, as well as college and beyond, recently wrote an article regarding US Club Soccer’s National Premier League (NPL). Currently, Triangle United’s u13-u15 Boys and Girls Gold teams participate in this league.
"The first goal is to have leagues all over the country in every major market, with the top clubs in the area being involved in the NPL," Lavers said. "We recognize the Academy and ECNL are the highest level of club competition in the country. The NPL should be a level just below that."
The NPL welcomes teams from the U13 to the U18 levels, with a single winner in each age division from each regional league advancing to the NPL Champions Cup in the summer. It’s not unlike what the Academy does with its Finals Week format, just blown up to accommodate more age ranges and both sexes.

Congratulations to the 5 NC All-State, 11 NC All-Regional players, and 1 Assistant Coach for the fall 2013 High School boys season. This list was put together through the NCASA, which is the High School Soccer Association.

The 2nd Annual Fall Recreational Classic took place Saturday and Sunday November 9th and 10th at the beautiful West 10/Eurosport Complex in Efland, NC. Over 80 teams from various recreational organizations partcipated. To find out how teams did, please go to the link below.
Cindy Parlow on Shortlist for FIFA World Coach of the Year
Cindy Parlow, former Triangle United Girls Director of Coaching, has just been named a finalist for the FIFA World Coach of the Year 2013. Cindy is one of 10 coaches named to this final list. She is joined by the following coaches:

U17 ('95) Boys Gold Region 3 Champions
The u17 Boys Gold (Coach Billy Englishby) just captured the club’s 4thRegion 3 Championship Thursday, June 27th, in Edmond, Oklahoma. The boys were the only NC team to make it to the Regional Finals. The last team from NC to make it to Nationals were also from Triangle United and that team (91 TU Gold, coached by Elmar Bolowich) made it there 3 years in a row (2008, 2009, 2010).
This is a great accomplishment, since the boys had to play 6 games in 7 days to make this happen. The team will now travel to Overland Park, Kansas to partake in the US Youth National Championships. Winners from the other 3 Regions will travel to Overland Park, where one team will be crowned National Champions.
Triangle United is very proud of all of its players that have participated in our program. We are extremely proud of those players that have gone on to play at the collegiate level.

Program Objective: Toprovide an environment for players 5-7 years old (born between 8/1/2008 and 7/31/2005)that have demonstrated the ability and desire to develop at a higher rate than a recreational player.The Youth Development Academy Juniors program will focus on the development of individual technical skills in a team environment. The atmosphere that is created will also foster player growth in areas of balance, coordination, teamwork and sportsmanship.
On February 23rd, Triangle United teamed up with Nike Soccer to help make a commercial for their new soccer initiative, called ’The Chance’. 40 Triangle United Female players were involved in making the video. Below is more information about what ’The Chance’ is all about. Everyone involved had a great time and got to meet Mia Hamm as well as Ali Krieger
1 National Finalist, 3 Regional Championships, 3 State Cups
Over the past 4 years, the 91 Triangle United Gold Boys team has helped put Triangle United on the map by their outstanding play on the field and their love for the game. Having Elmar Bolowich (UNC-Chapel Hill Men’s Soccer Head Coach) as their club coach, not only did the club have a vital role model to learn from, so did the boys.
