ADP teams play in the Fall season, from August to mid-November, and in the Spring season, from late February to mid-May. ADP traditionally offers a U8 age group, and U10 age group. However, if there is enough interest from U6 players we will form a team for them within the U8 program. ADP is a coed program, but if enough girls sign up for the program we will also offer an all-girls team option.
ADP is offered in 2 regions: North Durham and South Durham. Upon registering you will select the region you would like your child to be placed in.
North Durham practices will be held from 6-7pm: Tuesday/Thursday
South Durham practices will be held at Woodcroft Swim and Tennis Club. All players will train on Tuesday/Thursday evenings. Exact practice times at Woodcroft for the spring season are TBA.
Teams practice twice per week for one hour, Tuesday/Thursday. League Games will occur on Saturdays and teams will compete within a local league involving limited travel. There will be a festival each season that players will participate in and in those events there will be possible games on Sunday afternoons. This will allow for additional opportunities for player development.
Each ADP team will have a dedicated volunteer coach who will work with the ADP Program Director, Jose Santibanez. Each teams’ volunteer coach will be present at all practices and games. One practice session each week will be led by a TUSA staff coach. The second practice session and games will be led by the team’s volunteer coach.Volunteer coaches are invited to attend a coaches training workshop prior to the start of the season and are given an ADP coaching curriculum to follow. The coaching workshop and curriculum allow each volunteer coach to receive the necessary education to ensure that your child is getting consistent, progressive instruction that will lead to a higher level of learning.
Once registrations are completed, teams will be formed by ADP Director Jose Santibanez. Each team will have 1 practice a week with a Triangle United coach and 1 practice with their team coach.
