The staff of Triangle United are committed to helping the community in many ways. We strive to be involved in the Community through various avenues. Below are some of the community events that we have been involved in through the years:
We feel these volunteer opportunities are excellent chances to develop a greater appreciation for community service for Triangle United players, and look forward to providing increasing numbers of volunteer activities throughout the year.
After organizing several food drives throughout the 2018-2019 soccer season, we are thrilled to officially partner with PORCH Chapel Hill-Carrboro.
The mission of PORCH is "setting out to Fight Hunger". PORCH is an all-volunteer, grassroots hunger relief organization. They collect food and cash donations through monthly neighborhood food drives, and then distribute food to hundreds of at-risk families in our community, as well as local Food Pantry's.

Triangle United, the Durham Bulls Youth Athletic League (DBYAL), and the Police Athletic League (PAL) of Durham, have joined together to create an inner-city soccer program for Durham elementary schools.
We have targeted 8 elementary schools in the City of Durham to work with. The schools train once during the week and play games on Saturday mornings at CC Spaulding Elementary School. This program is completely FREE to all participants.
The goal of the program is to encourage elementary kids to get active and particpate in the sport of soccer. Through this we hope to also teach the kids teamwork, values, sportsmanship, leadership skills, and so forth. Each school is set up with a Durham Police officer along with other volunteers from the school as well as the community.
We would like to thank Eurosport Soccer for their donation of 120 soccer balls as well as 240 t-shirts (8 colors x 30 shirts) for each of the schools to wear on game day.
To find out more information about the DBYAL, please click here. To find out more information about PAL, please email Officer Erwin Baker. If you would like to volunteer time or make a donation to the program, please contact John Cirillo (Triangle United Director of Soccer and DBYAL Board Member) at 919.942.2031 or by emailing John.
