The Micro program for the Fall of 2012 will be offering 2 different training options; one option is Tuesday/Thursday, while the other remains the Wednesday/Friday option which we have done in the past.
Triangle United staff will be running the program, but parent volunteers are encouraged and needed to assist in keeping the players engaged and involved with the training and games. The first day of the week (Tuesday/Wednesday) will be focused on more drills and activities for the players. Typically the first 45 minutes will be skill/activity based with the last 15 minutes or so for games. For the 2nd day of the week (Thursday/Friday), this will be the players ’game night’. The first 15 minutes or so will get the players warmed up while the last 45 minutes will be the players game.
Within the Micro program, we utilize the small-sided games approach, (3v3, 4v4, no goalkeepers) which are designed to maximize young players’ (ages U6 - U8) time with the ball at their feet.
For Fall 2012, we will utilize 2 locations:
Tuesday and Thursday (Southern Community Park)
Wednesday and Friday (Homestead Park)
