92 Girls Gold wins Premier division

U16 girls finish first in NCYSA Premier

After opening the season with a loss in Charlotte on the first play date, the 92G Gold went undefeated the rest of the season and became the first Triangle United girls team to win NCYSA’s Premier division, the top level of competition in North Carolina. Coach Cindy Parlow’s U16G Gold finished 7-1-1 and alone at the top of the table.

After the 2 goals allowed in the opening 2-1 loss to CUFC Green, 92G Gold only allowed 2 more goals in the last 8 games, posting 6 shutouts and allowing just 1 goal twice. The U16’s ended up with an impressive goal differential of 15-4 (14-2 in the last 8 games). Offensively, they scored at least 2 goals in 5 of their last 6 games (three of those multi-goal games coming on the road).

Congratulations to 92G Gold, Premier Division champs as they go on to compete in the State Cup, and attempt to win the Cup and earn a berth in Region 3 Premier League (the southeastern regional league one step beyond NC’s Premier League).
